The 2024 Council of Western State Foresters (CWSF) and Western Forestry Leadership Coalition (WFLC) Fall Meeting will take place in Missoula, Montana, from Tuesday, November 5, at 8:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 7, at 5:00 p.m.
Details: The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown, 200 South Pattee, Missoula, Montana, 59802.
Meeting Structure:
- Tuesday, November 5: Western State and Pacific Island Foresters and senior staff, USDA Forest Service WFLC Members and Washington Office Leaders, and invited partners. All attendees are invited to attend our reception Tuesday evening.
- Wednesday, November 6: Western State and Pacific Island Foresters and senior staff; USDA Forest Service WFLC Members and Washington Office Leaders, and invited partners.
- Thursday, November 7: Western State and Pacific Island Foresters and senior staff; State Forester associations’ staff and representatives (CWSF and NASF), and invited partners to meet. WFLC federal members will meet separately for western USDA Forest Service business.
Agenda: Draft agendas are available on the CWSF and the WFLC websites. Please note that agendas are subject to change and will be updated as needed.
Registration: The registration rate includes meeting attendance, catering for all three days (breakfasts, coffee/tea breaks, and lunches), reception on Tuesday evening, and registration processing fees.
- Registration is $650.00. Take advantage of our early-bird discount of $100.00 off when registering on or before September 27, 2024. The registration deadline is October 25, 2024.
- WFLC USDA Forest Service participants: Please do not pay the above fees; instead, register under the $0 USDA Forest Service option by October 25, 2024. This includes western Regional Foresters, western Research Station Directors, the Forest Products Laboratory Director, and western State, Private, and Tribal Forestry Directors.

Cancellations: Cancellations of the total registration amount will be possible until October 25, 2024. After that, someone may be substituted to take your place, but cancellations cannot be processed.
*Optional* Dinner on Wednesday, November 6: Join us on Wednesday, November 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for dinner at the University of Montana Grizzly Stadium. Please note that dinner is not eligible for purchase with federal funds. Click here for more information and to reserve your spot on or before October 25, 2024.
Lodging: Hotel reservations can be made via the Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown booking link. The room rate is $130.00 per night, plus fees and taxes. The room block will end on September 27, 2024. After this date, reservations cannot be guaranteed, and discounted room rates may no longer be available. Our room block is limited; availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m., and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Daily self-parking is complimentary with a pass. Parking passes will be available at the registration table.
Airport Shuttle: Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown offers a complimentary airport shuttle from Missoula Airport to/from the hotel. Once you land, call the front desk at 1-406-721-8550 to request shuttle service.
