The 2023 Council of Western State Foresters (CWSF) and Western Forestry Leadership Coalition (WFLC) Fall Meeting will take place in Waikoloa, Hawai‘i, from Tuesday, November 28, at 8:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 30, at 5:00 p.m.
Details: The meeting is at the beautiful Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, located at 69-275 Waikoloa Beach Dr, Waikoloa Beach, HI 96738.
- We start our meeting on Tuesday, November 28, at 8:00 a.m. with CWSF, invited partners, and State, Private, and Tribal Forestry Directors together. Afterward, the CWSF membership will conduct the CWSF meeting, including closed business sessions, while USDA Forest Service State, Private, and Tribal Forestry Directors meet.
- All meeting attendees are invited to join us on the evening of Tuesday, November 28, at 5:30 p.m. for a reception and on Wednesday, November 29, for a field tour.
- Our full WFLC membership will gather together on Thursday, November 30.
- USDA Forest Service will meet on Friday, December 1.
Registration: The registration rate includes catering for all three days (breakfasts, coffee/tea breaks, and lunches), reception on Tuesday evening, meeting attendance, and registration processing fees.
- General Registration: Registration is $850.00. Take advantage of our early-bird discount of $100.00 off when registering by September 29, 2023. Use code EARLYBIRD to receive the discount. Please register by October 20, 2023.
- WFLC USDA Forest Service participants: Please do not pay the above fees; instead, register under the $0 USDA Forest Service option by October 20, 2023. This includes western Regional Foresters, western Research Station Directors, the Forest Products Laboratory Director, and western State, Private, and Tribal Forestry Directors.
- Guest registration is available for guests of meeting attendees. Please review the guest options below and include guest information during registration.
Guest options:
- Adult Guest: Breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with lunch on Tuesday and Thursday, and reception attendance on Tuesday evening for $300.00;
- Adult Guests and children 13 and older: Reception attendance on Tuesday evening for $75.00;
- Children between the ages of 6-12: Reception attendance on Tuesday evening for $37.50;
- Children age 5 and younger: Reception attendance on Tuesday evening, no fee, but please include in registration for the headcount;
- Guest attendance for the field tour and lunch on Wednesday for $100.00;
- Guest attendance for Tuesday's reception and Wednesday's field tour and lunch for $175.00.

Cancellations: Cancellations of the total registration amount will be possible until October 20, 2023. After that, someone may be substituted to take your place, but cancellations cannot be processed. Regfox’s fee is nonrefundable.
Lodging: Hotel reservations can be made via the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa booking link. The room rate is $218.00 per night, plus resort fee and taxes. The room block will end on October 20, 2023. After this date, reservations cannot be guaranteed, and discounted room rates may no longer be available. Check-in time is at 4:00 p.m., and check-out time is at noon. Room rates will be subject to a mandatory daily resort fee that has been reduced to $20.00 per room, per night, not inclusive of room tax, in effect at the time of check-in. Daily self-parking is $15 per vehicle.
Travel: The closest airport is Kona International Airport, about 18.5 miles (24 minutes) from the meeting venue/hotel. Shuttle service between the airport and the hotel is not available.
Catering: If you have any dietary restrictions, including vegetarian, gluten-free, nuts, etc., please notify Patricia Payne.
